HOLY MOLY. I got nominated!
After completing the 6 week workout program we had to write a 250 word essay to apply for the grand prize. I wrote something way longer which you can read HERE, but Melissa was a huge help and we were able to pare it down.
There are 6 different categories for the challenge and the Onnit team reads over our essays and selects two semi-finalists for each category. I went for Deep Dive:
Deep Dive: Strengthening your body has a way of making psychological baggage feel lighter as well. The Deep Dive winner will be one who shows the courage to confront personal demons and past trauma, and uses the Tribe and the Challenge to help build the skills to manage those issues.
I am stunned, shocked, humbled, and honored to be nominated for this. The Onnit Tribe on Facebook is one of the most positive, encouraging, and badass group of people I’ve ever encountered and I wouldn’t have given this a try without joining that community. I got an email from John Wolf (the man himself!) congratulating me and asking me to make a video about doing the program. That video is what they’ll embed on their website when semi-finalist voting starts on Wednesday, July 20. It runs for a week until July 27, then they tally up the votes and select a winner for the grand prize.
